DESCRIPTION:           The above listed backbones remained available while PennREN Engineers performed
                       maintenance in order to upgrade the software on the ADVA Optical Shelves. Each
                       optical segment was taken down individually to prevent customer impact. The 
                       maintenance is now complete.
