DESCRIPTION:           The above listed backbones remained available while PennREN Engineers performed
                       maintenance in order to upgrade the software on the ADVA Optical Shelf. Each optical
                       segment was taken down individually to prevent any customer impact during the
                       maintenance. No outages were observed and the maintenance is now complete.
